For almost 4 years Matrix team was part of the esteemed ExxonMobil Mex team to run one of the most challenging projects in ExxonMobil’s history. The Project Execution of Filling Facility Roof Replacement at Mex LOBP.

The original filling facility is arched frame, composed of arched girders, slabs with tie beam and hangers. The span of the arch is approx. 35 m, and the length of the building is almost 60 m. The slabs in particular as well as some of the columns have shown deterioration as they were built in mid-50’s.

The project’s scope was to safely demolish the arched girder roof and erection of new steel roof while keeping operation of filling facility safely running.
